UNIS is Hiring an Inventory Supervisor Near Northampton, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the inventory team, including receiving, storing, and issuing inventory items.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions, including stock receipts, adjustments, and transfers.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Monitor inventory movements and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Train and mentor inventory staff on proper inventory management techniques and procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support inventory-related initiatives and projects.
  • Prepare and analyze inventory reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inventory management or related field, with at least [X] years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, methods, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with inventory auditing techniques and inventory valuation methods.
